Ongoing care for Nassau & Suffolk

Website maintenance
that prevents the emergency.

Updates, backups, monitoring, security, and small content changes, handled monthly by someone who knows your site. Most of the repairs we get called for were preventable a month earlier.

A website is not an asset you buy once. It is software sitting on the public internet, and it drifts. WordPress ships updates, plugin authors ship breaking changes, certificates expire, images pile up, and the form that worked at launch quietly stops delivering because a mail setting changed at your host.

None of that announces itself. What announces itself is the outcome: a customer mentions the site has been down, or you notice the contact form has not produced a lead in three weeks, or Google flags the site as hacked. By then the fix costs real money and you have already lost the work.

A care plan closes that gap. Someone applies the updates deliberately, keeps a backup you can actually restore from, watches whether the site is up, and looks at it often enough to catch the small thing before it becomes the outage. webfix is in Garden City, so you have a local number and a person who already knows how your site is put together.

What is included

The unglamorous work that keeps a site up, quick, and out of trouble.

Careful updates

WordPress core, plugins, and themes updated on a schedule, checked afterwards rather than fired off and forgotten. Where a change looks risky we test it before it reaches your live site.

Offsite backups

Regular backups stored away from the server they came from, and verified to actually restore. A backup nobody has tested is not a backup.

Uptime & SSL monitoring

We watch whether the site responds and whether the certificate is still valid, so you hear about an outage from us rather than from a customer.

Security & hardening

Malware scanning, login hardening, file permission checks, and prompt patching of the vulnerable plugin versions that account for most small business hacks.

Speed checks

A periodic performance pass on mobile, catching the oversized image someone uploaded or the new script that added two seconds to your load time.

Small content edits

A monthly allowance for the real-world changes: new hours, new staff photo, updated prices, a seasonal banner. Send an email, it gets done.

Signs your site is not being looked after

If more than one of these is true, the site is running on luck.

Nobody has updated it in over six months
You are not sure a backup exists
The developer who built it is unreachable
The SSL certificate has lapsed at least once
You do not know if the contact form still works
Content is visibly out of date

How we take over a site

Including one we did not build.

1

Audit

We look at updates, backups, security, speed, and hosting, then tell you what state it is really in.

2

Stabilize

Anything urgent gets fixed as a one-off repair, so the plan starts from a known-good baseline.

3

Set up care

Backups, monitoring, and an update schedule go in, with a flat monthly price agreed upfront.

4

Report

You get a short, readable summary of what was done and anything worth your attention.

You own everything

Your domain, hosting, and backups stay in your name. Cancel whenever you like and we hand over cleanly.

Flat monthly, quoted upfront

One agreed figure after we see the site. No setup fee, no surprise line items, no long lock-in.

A person, not a portal

Email a real Long Island studio and get an answer. Small enough that we know your site without looking it up.

Maintenance questions

What does a website maintenance plan actually include?

Core, plugin, and theme updates applied carefully rather than blindly; offsite backups on a schedule; uptime and SSL monitoring; security scanning and hardening; a periodic speed check; and a set allowance of small content edits each month. You also get a short plain-English report so you can see what was done.

How much does website maintenance cost?

It depends on the size of the site and how much hands-on content work you want included, so we quote a flat monthly figure after a quick look at what you have. There is no setup fee and no long lock-in, and you will know the number before you commit to anything.

Do you maintain sites you did not build?

Yes. We start with an audit so we are not inheriting a mess blind, fix anything urgent as a one-off repair, then take over ongoing care from a known-good baseline.

Can I not just click the update button myself?

You can, and for a simple site it often goes fine. The risk is that WordPress updates are cumulative and unattended: a plugin author ships a breaking change, it lands on your live site at 2am, and nobody notices for a week that the contact form stopped sending. The value of a plan is that someone checks, and that there is a backup to roll back to.

Is hosting included?

No, and deliberately so. You keep ownership of your hosting and domain in your own name. We will help you set it up, work with whoever you are with, and tell you if the host is the actual problem.

What if I want to cancel?

You can stop at any time. The site is yours, the backups are yours, and we will hand over anything you need to take it elsewhere. We would rather keep clients because the work is good than because leaving is difficult.
